《Dream of The Red Mansions》Starring Dr Jessie Chung up to 13 shows, Launched “Hearts Apart” EP to help cancer patients.

 

 (Selangor, 18 Aug) Dr Jessie is becoming braver while she takes on the battle through the stage courageously and was shining so brightly that the light in her could be felt by every person on the audience floor. Since July 24th, Symphony Theatre Group has meticulously presented the drama "A Dream of Red Mansions" in consecutive 9 shows. The performance was very exciting, and all the 9 shows were also fully booked. The responses received were extraordinary and impressive. As a result, the stage show sessions were increased up to 13 sessions in total! For the first time in Malaysia, the "A Dream of Red Mansions", depicted as one of China's four main classical novel masterpieces, was finally being performed through a stage drama and was indeed  a great “blown away”, creating a brilliant legend for Malaysia!

Many audiences got very emotional and overwhelmed even after the stage play had ended. They were crying during the feedback interview as they were completely moved to tears. They have given valuable praises and have expressed their deepest appreciation and admiration for Dr Jessie and her other fellow crew members for their effort and dedication in making this show so incredibly insightful and touching. 

 Member of Parliament YB Theresa Kok, Political Secretary of the Minister of Transport Wee Ka Siong, famous Malaysian drama directors like Li Yihan and Yan Yongqi, famous Malaysian actor and model Lin Meifen, new online writer and film critic – Liang Wencong, AiFm director Huang Lingling, etc. were all present to support the show.

YB Theresa Kok expressed her most sincere and heartfelt views and said:: “A very loud yet warm round of applause should be presented to Dr Jessie and her fellow crew members. I hope Malaysia will have more artists who will be just as dedicated as them.” She also especially praised Dr Jessie for bringing up Lin Daiyu’s character and true emotions to life. Dr Jessie is a truly-born artist and a rare talent in Malaysia.  

 

Our minister of Transport, Wee Ka Siong mentioned that “Dr Jessie and her other fellow crew members certainly have spared a lot of thought and effort to courageously bring up the true essence of such romance storyline on stage. This drama has indeed caught all of us by surprise. This, I would consider, as one of the most successful stage plays in Malaysia..”

 

Dr. Zhang Jie, who is from Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, China, was also overwhelmed to tears as he gave his testimony during the feedback interview. He said: “I never thought that there would be such an awesome performance staged in Malaysia! It was totally unexpected! Through Dr Jessie’s performance on stage, we as audiences could feel that the power love truly exists. She is definitely well suited to play the role of “Classic Beauty” as she could bring up emotions of the original character perfectly. Watching the Chinese version of The Dream of Red Mansions in 1987 did not make me cry, but the Dream of Red Mansions in Malaysia has made me cry.

 

In addition, it is worth mentioning that Symphony Theatre Group has also specially invited the American award-winning musician Mr. Lee to produce, and tailor-made the heart-warming theme song called "Hearts Apart" for the "Dream of Red Mansions" stage drama, as well as the episode of "A Dying Light in the Dark” and which was adapted for the well-known "Burial Flower Yin". It was sung by Jessie Chung, who played the main female character "Lin Daiyu". One of the theme songs "Hearts Apart"  definitely matches well with the drama's main male character, Terry Lim,  for his deeply passionate duet. The production of the song, from its conception, to the creation of lyrics, composing, recording, mixing, and mastering, are all meticulously done through the collaboration of all workers from the Symphony Theatre group. In this regard, Dr Jessie Chung has also expressed her deepest gratitude towards all members of Symphony Group for their dedication and hard work. This was something unanticipated, but she strongly felt their genuine intentions and said “Indeed, I must thank the Symphony Theatre group for their team cooperation, they really did a good job. In fact, during the recording process, the main male actor, Terry Lim, and myself, were both in tears”.

Dr. Jessie Chung has performed these three songs, conveying the temperaments of love through her voice. By displaying the depths of her true emotions, she hopes that these songs can heal the audience’s soul, and let the audience be transcended by love. There are many audiences who were very moved by the songs. Aifm broadcastor Xiaowei gave her words of compliment and said, "The theme songs and episodes were very well presented, and they match the needs of the plot in a way that also touches the hearts of many.”

 

Through this drama stage performance, we could truly feel Dr Jessie’s genuine loving kindness and generosity. During these trial moments of the epidemic period, she still works out in spite of all difficulties and challenges she may have faced, with the hope that she could do her little part in contributing to help cancer patients who are utmost in need of our support.

锺洁希《红楼梦》叫好叫座加至13场 发《心念》EP为癌患筹款

（雪兰莪18日讯）钟洁希越战越勇！勇战舞台大放异彩！星音符剧团自7月24日精心巨献《红楼梦》话剧，连续公演九场，场场扣人心弦，九场皆满座，反应超凡热烈，亮眼成绩，再度追加至13场！大马首度以话剧形式引爆中国四大名著之首《红楼梦》，为大马创下了辉煌的传奇！

许多观众在话剧结束后，仍然无法平复心情，受访时更是泪流满面，纷纷给予有价值的好评，对于洁希以及演员们对艺术的敬业深感敬佩。

国会议员YB 郭素沁，交通部部长政务秘书彭伟鸿，大马著名话剧导演李奕翰及颜永祺，大马著名演员兼模特儿林美芬，网络新新作家兼影评人 – 梁文聪，AiFm总监黄玲玲等皆都到场出席捧场支持。

YB 郭素沁发至内心说：“要给锺洁希及剧团一个掌声，也希望马来西亚能够出现更多像他们这样具有奉献精神的艺术工作者。“  她也称赞锺洁希把林黛玉的少女情怀和矛盾，都淋漓尽致的演绎出来，是一个天生的演员，马来西亚难得的人才。

交通部部长政务秘书彭伟鸿也表示，“洁希和演员们真的花了不少的心思，在舞台上勇敢诠释爱情故事，带给我们非常大的震撼，是马来西亚一部非常成功的话剧...“

来自中国天津中医药大学的张捷医师在受访时也落泪而言，“真没想到大马有那么棒的话剧演出，出乎我的意料！洁希在台上的演出带给台下观众最正面的真爱能量，她非常适合饰演古典美人，把内心的情感诠释得完美。看中国87年版本的红楼梦没让我掉眼泪，但大马的红楼梦，让我落下男儿泪。

另外，值得一提的是，星音符剧团也特邀美国得奖音乐人李安生操刀制作，为此次的《红楼梦》话剧量身打造动人心弦的主题曲《心念》，以及插曲《黑夜将残的炉光》，并重新为家喻户晓的《葬花吟》编曲，由饰演“林黛玉”的钟洁希演唱。其中主题曲《心念》更搭配了话剧的男主角林霆坚深情对唱。歌曲的制作，从构思，填词，作曲，录音，混音，母带制作，全权由星音符工作坊包办。对此，钟洁希也表示，她非常感谢星音符工作坊成员们的努力，让她感到非常的意外，也感觉到他们的用心。她说，“真的要谢谢整个团队的配合，他们真的做得很好，而且在录制的过程中，我和男主角林霆坚都泪如雨下。”

钟洁希演唱这三首歌曲，以歌声传递爱的温度，献尽真情感，她希望这些歌曲能够在穿插剧情之际，治愈观众的心灵，让观众被爱滋润。现场有不少的观众也被此歌曲为之感动。Aifm主播晓薇对此给予嘉奖，“主题曲和插曲做得很棒，配合剧情的需要，真的让人非常感动。”

星音符倾心打造 古美人林黛玉重现舞台 锺洁希真情真爱洒血泪

（雪兰莪24日讯）五年的精心策划，星音符剧团倾心为全球打造最真实的《红楼梦》！锺洁希领衔主演古美人林黛玉，首场震撼上演，真情真爱真泪洒尽全场，粉丝热泪飙高峰，大赞难得的好作品！反应超凡热烈！

续《别说爱错》话剧后，星音符剧团全军出击，在7月24日终于上演了精心之作《红楼梦》！星音符剧团的《红楼梦》是根据红学研究编写的史实版《红楼梦》，以电影方式呈现在舞台上。



《红楼梦》全剧长达3小时45分钟，全剧参与演出的演员超过20人。参与演出的演员除了国际艺人锺洁希，还包括《音乐盒》话剧的男主角马杰飞、来自美国《别说爱错》话剧的男主角李安田，《月光》舞台剧的男主角陈永山，以及全球万里挑一的“贾宝玉”林霆坚。

《红楼梦》话剧剧情元素精彩丰富，惊喜连连，悲喜交集。锺洁希尽心诠释了剧中女主角林黛玉的内心故事，完全展露了当代林黛玉对深爱的男主角贾宝玉之间最真最纯的爱情。全程剧情紧凑，故事情节跌宕起伏。锺洁希更是凭着精湛的演艺，诠释出林黛玉在当时冷酷现实摧残下的心灵世界，感叹人世间的虚伪与虚空。全程26幕剧情拳拳到肉，重点出击，锺洁希更是多幕以泪洗涤全场观众，纠结的剧情，深深扣系了全场观众的内心，让在场的人心情五味杂陈，多幕更是陪着女主角掉下来了眼泪。



为了让观众得到最佳的感官享受，剧团更是动用了高质量的音响和LED背景，以及特别订制了家私与道具，让现场的观众直呼惊讶，也将自己身置剧情的意境中。更让人耳目一新的是，剧情中饰演林黛玉的锺洁希更是与首次合作搭档的男主角林霆坚合唱为《红楼梦》精心打造的主题曲《心念》。在优美的曲子带动下，观众仿佛回到剧情的现实情况，甚至有些感动得泣不成声，抽泣得无法言语，纷纷为男女主角的遭遇深感同情。

几次闭幕及谢幕时，观众们的掌声依然如雷。到谢幕的尾端，当再次看见男女主角出现在舞台上时，观众未尽的眼泪再次宣泄而下，场面非常感人，大赞百年一见的好作品！谢幕后，大部分观众情绪未平复，甚至不舍得离场，直到工作人员来安抚后才缓缓离去。在之后的访问分享中，有些观众更是泪流满面，情绪依然浸透在剧情中，一时无法说话。他们表示，这一次星音符剧团的《红楼梦》演出让他们大开眼界，对于《红楼梦》的历史有了全面新的认识，更是有了不少的领悟。观众表示，“这次的演出非常成功，洁希演得非常逼真，她把林黛玉的角色演活了！每个演员都很棒！给我们非常真实的感觉！”有些观众甚至觉得三小时多的话剧一瞬间就结束了，纷纷恳求能够第二次再来目睹“林妹妹”的风采。



首场演出后，锺洁希坦言，这是有史以来最高难度的话剧演出，因为有许多内心故事的剧情，演员需要非常用心演绎。而且《红楼梦》首次在马来西亚演出，对演员都是一份压力。整部话剧前后筹备了五年之久，其中也面临了不少的挑战，有时她甚至想放弃。欣慰的是导演，剧团，以及粉丝们不断给予她鼓励和支持，使她能够坚持下去，今天才能够在在舞台上成功演出。对于今天首场演出后，粉丝们的热烈反应，锺洁希表示，她非常开心，首场的成功确实让她非常意外。她也非常感谢所有的粉丝所给予的鼓励，支持和包容，让她非常感动。

此次的《红楼梦》，肯定少不了家喻户晓的【葬花吟】。星音符剧团对此也下足功夫，请来美籍音乐制作人重新为【葬花吟】编曲，并由饰演“林黛玉”的锺洁希演唱。由于锺洁希在演艺方面演起林黛玉来十分有韵味，所以剧组人员都习惯叫洁希作妹妹了。

“妹妹的唱功也非常好，声线到位，颠覆了传统的【葬花吟】，让人有耳目一新的感觉。此外，妹妹也演唱了两首剧团为《红楼梦》原创的两首新歌。“剧团负责人受访时表示，“这两首原创新歌就是【心念】和【黑夜将残的炉光】，歌词内容犹如红楼梦的缩影。听懂这两首新歌，就看懂了红楼梦。”

这三首新歌将会收录在锺洁希最新的EP《心念》，所有收入将会捐给“锺洁希癌症基金”，让癌症病人受益。

美籍台湾导演执导《别说爱错》 锺洁希为癌患接演女主角

随着电影院和剧院的“解放”，星音符剧团为大家推出行动管制令后的首部话剧《别说爱错》。

首演当天座无虚席。剧场配合防疫标准，所有观众全程戴口罩，座位皆保持社交距离一公尺。由于剧情高潮迭起，观众的情绪都被牵引着，然而故事的结局却让他们始料不及。幕幕皆获得热烈的掌声。谢幕时，观众们的掌声依然如雷，热情不受影响。

《别说爱错》是一部现代浪漫爱情温馨小品，改编自经典爱情小说。星音符邀请来自美国的李安田来执导，而锺洁希也答应为癌症病患义演担任第一女主角，筹募“锺洁希癌症基金”。

拥有双重国籍的李安田导演，自小在美国和台湾两地成长，在大学主修戏剧及音乐表演系，属于性格派演员，并且曾在美国受过名师指导拍摄及导演，曾经执导过多部话剧、短片和广告。

这次除了执导《别说爱错》，李导演也会自导自演，担任第一男主角，并且亲自填词演唱话剧主题曲。为提供观众最佳的视觉和听觉享受，李导演将使用高质量的音效器材和高清LED背景，并提供中英文字幕，以电影话剧的形式呈现给大家。

这次参与演出《别说爱错》话剧的演员，包括国际艺人锺洁希和导演李安田，还有《音乐盒》和《红楼梦》的男主角马杰飞，以及参与《音乐盒》演出的陈佩妮、谢嘉勒、江弗梅、林素燕、蔡振恩等，共计16位演员同台演出。

至于《红楼梦》在去年底寻到贾宝玉之后，因疫情关系而展延了彩排进度，也因男主角宝哥哥运动脚踝受了伤，仍需要时间修复，因此《红楼梦》话剧演出将会暂延。据导演的推测，估计今年底将可以公开演出。

《别说爱错》原定在沙阿南星音符剧院于7月3日起公演4场。由于消息一发布就获得剧迷热烈的反应，门票几近售罄，4场门票已所剩无几。目前，星音符剧团经已加至6场。此次演出，所有的盈利将捐献给“锺洁希癌症基金”，让癌症病患受益。

全球《寻找贾宝玉》终于成绩出炉！真正的“贾宝玉“找到了！

《寻找贾宝玉》活动进行了1个多月，吸引了上百位参与者报名试镜。星音符剧团评审们在百位参与者中，挑出了40位参与试镜，并选出了12大试镜者。经过评审团精细地审核后，终于在百里挑一选出“贾宝玉“的最佳人选——林霆坚。

“林霆坚不论在外形、身高、气质等都符合原著中的贾宝玉。”出德庆导演非常满意的表示：“这次的试镜者水平都很高。有好几位的演技都很好，可惜有些的样貌和贾宝玉有些落差，而有一些又缺了高度，所以只好割爱，真的很可惜。“

40位试镜者在试镜过程中，有些还闹出了不少笑话。有的试镜者身形太魁梧，结果穿不下贾宝玉的服装，还差一点儿撑破戏服。还有一位试镜者，来试镜时竟然是一身古铜色，还自称自己是“黑人版“贾宝玉，笑翻评审团及工作人员。

“贾宝玉在观众心里已经有了既定的形象，所以我们会尽量符合原著所描绘的形象来选角。”出导演受访时说道。

根据《红楼梦》原著的形容，贾宝玉长得“面若中秋之月，色如春晓之花，鬓若刀裁，眉如墨画，面如桃瓣，目若秋波”，林霆坚的外貌刚好符合要求。此外，当他穿上戏服站在台上演出时，还散发着一股富贵、稚嫩、调皮、高才的神韵灵气，仿佛将“贾宝玉”演活了。

“贾宝玉角色的最大难关，就是哭戏。”出导演说道：“哭的種類不少,像默然流淚的哭、悲切抽噎的哭、傷心時的聳肩哭、嚎啕大哭、瘋狂般的哭、更有撕心裂肺的哭等。我要求他演出每一种程度的哭戏，想不到他还真的做到了，非常有潜质。”

如今《红楼梦》舞台剧演员齐备，接下 来将会进行为期一个月的密集培训和彩排，预计将在年底首演。

新作品——非一般的《红楼梦》舞台剧，势必让观众坠入红楼。

这次《红楼梦》舞台剧集聚了多位资深演员，同时星音符也在此次的舞台剧中大胆启用新人，演员阵容超过二十位。 日前，剧组为寻找适合的男主角人选，发动了全球《寻找贾宝玉》的活动，让18-28岁的华裔男子，都可以报名试镜贾宝玉一角，最后就看谁能在众多位试镜者中脱颖而出。

锺洁希在受访时透露：“现在我们在密集的筹备《红楼梦》舞台剧，非常期待演出的那一天。
同时，每个剧组人员也非常期待到底谁才是真正的贾宝玉。” 锺洁希也透露自己是个红楼迷，
非常欣赏曹公著作《红楼梦》。 对于这次担任林黛玉一角感到非常的兴奋，也极具挑战性！
虽然开始时，导演找她演出女主角林黛玉，洁希是拒绝演出，担心自己不能胜任这角色。但经过导演的一番劝说和鼓励后，被他的诚意打动才答应演出。

《红楼梦》舞台剧的每个细节都充满了诚意和心思。演员们极富感染力的演绎、震撼人心的剧情编排、逼真的音效配搭、精致的古风道具布置，以及绝美LED背景视觉影像的巧妙融合，营造出美轮美奂的舞台感官效果。舞台剧演出以中文对白，附有英文字幕。

Music Box Celebrated at Cultural Exchange Between Malaysia and Indonesia Jessie Chung Feted by Indonesian Officials with a Magnificent Banquet

         Governor of West Sumatra Irwan Prayitno delivered Cert of Appreciation to Jessie Chung

Music Box, the magnum opus of Jessie Chung’s theatrical career, was recently brought to perform in Indonesia. Upon arrival, the Indonesian government held a lavish banquet to welcome its guests, kicking off the cultural exchange event between Malaysia and Indonesia. The theme of this cultural exchange event is “Three Cultures and Two Countries”, with the two countries being Malaysia and Indonesia, and the three cultures being the cultures of Malaysia, Indonesia, and Australia.

The Music Box crew touched down at Minangkabau International Airport in Padang, Indonesia, and was taken to the Governor’s Office of West Sumatra by a police escort to attend a banquet. The Governor of West Sumatra Irwan Prayitno, Deputy Governor Nasrul Abit, Minister of Tourism, and the Governor’s wife were also present. At the banquet, the Governor even went on stage to perform a few songs, showing his sincerity for and the significance of this cultural exchange event between Malaysia and Indonesia.

During his speech, the governor stated that due to its outstanding performance, Music Box has received the government’s support and was chosen to represent Malaysia in the form of theatre via Malindo Business & Cultural Center (MBCC) in this cultural exchange with Indonesia’s cultural department. He also stated that he is honored to have the opportunity to invite Jessie Chung to participate in this cultural exchange between “Three Cultures and Two Countries”, allowing the Indonesian people to broaden their horizon and enjoy an array of songs and performances from Australia.

 Music Box was performed at the auditorium of Universitas Negeri Padang, attended by the Governor of West Sumatra province, Irwan Prayitno, the Minister of Tourism, 19 mayors in West Sumatra, many high-ranking officers of the Navy, Army, and Airforce, the chancellor and vice chancellor of the university, and students of the university. Around 2000 theatregoers attended this colossal stage play.

Director Brian Choot stated, during this stop of the Music Box international tour, they all felt the sincerity of the Indonesian government through the hospitality and treatment toward guests; everyone felt like they were being put on a pedestal and pampered. What came as a surprise was that from the first scene to the last scene of the stage play, the Indonesian audience cheered all the way through to show their appreciation and enthusiasm. As the story climaxed, the audience showed even more passion through their applause. When asked about the audience’s reaction, the director chuckled and stated that he regarded them as the "most responsive crowd" of all time as they too were very dramatic and expressed their emotions freely while they rode along the twists and turns of the plot.

After the curtain call, Jessie Chung immediately transformed into the Princess of Rock, partying all the way till midnight with her Indonesian fans. That night, Jessie Chung performed "Sinaran", "Drive My Heart", "Be Strong", and "Feel My Love", wishing the Padang government good luck and a prosperous future. As she sang and danced to the music, the hotblooded crowd was ablaze with excitement, and the Governor and Minister of Tourism were also thrilled to watch the show as their faces lit up with joy.

The next day, the Indonesian government chose a few mayors to bring the Music Box crew to many tourist attractions, introducing them to the famous Minangkabal culture in Padang, taking them on a visit to a palace in Padang, and inviting them to dine together, further encouraging the cultural exchange between Malaysia and Indonesia.

So far, Music Box has completed 13 sold-out shows. To this date, the organizer has garnered over 1,000 video reviews from the audience, receiving an overwhelming collection of positive reviews. Many celebrities, artists, experts of various fields, and governmental staff also gave their positive comments to the stage play. Fans from Malaysia and all across the world, including China, the United States, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan, and Thailand came to witness the spectacular show.

Under meticulous production, the English version of Music Box, tailored to international audiences, was born. In addition, the production team will also translate the surtitles to various languages, including Malay, Thai, Tamil, Japanese, Korean, etc. to cater to a wide variety of audiences.

The stage play Music Box is an event that fundraises for cancer patients and passionately promotes and propagates a positive message throughout society.
